My fiancée and I got engaged in November 2015. When I got engaged, I was over the moon excited! We did lots of celebrating with family and friends throughout the Holidays which then carried forward into more celebration into the New Year. So by the end of April, I knew that I needed to get my act together if I wanted to feel my absolute best for my wedding in August.

I came across Jessi Jean and Team SoBoss through a friend that had used the company for her bikini contest prep. My friend had seen amazing results but I knew that she had been realistic with her approach which was exactly what I was looking for. I had many girlfriends in the past who had completely crashed dieted before their wedding. Sure they had lost a lot of weight for their big day but they were miserable along the way. In addition, I didn’t just want to be skinny. I wanted to feel confident, beautiful, and happy with my body. To me that was more important than being my absolute skinniest for my wedding day.

So I signed up with SoBoss and began my program at the beginning of May. I can honestly say that working with Jessi Jean and Team SoBoss was one of the best (if not THE best) wedding planning decision that I made. I was on my weight loss program for about 12 weeks. I lost over 10 pounds from start to finish of the program. I realize that isn’t a huge number but it was my goal! Most importantly, I achieved this goal without starvation. In fact, the first couple months, I felt like I was actually eating more food than I ever had in my life! Of course, this level of food consumption slowed down and cardio increased but it always felt manageable. I still enjoyed my glass of wine when I really needed to take the edge off from wedding planning. I enjoyed dessert every night up until my wedding date! The best part is that the guilt I always associated with “naughty” food was no longer there. I knew that if it fit in my macros that I was good!

This change in my mentality around food has completely revolutionized my life. In fact, I am still tracking several months after my wedding date. I haven’t experienced a large rebound in my weight that would normally happen after I would crash diet. I feel a freedom around food that I have never experienced before in my life. I can honestly say that working with Jessi and Team SoBoss is not just for those looking to compete. It is for anyone looking for a manageable lifestyle that is based on a healthy association with food. Words cannot truly express my gratitude towards Jessi and SoBoss!

*For reference, I am 5’6”. I started my weight loss program in May at 141lbs, my low before the wedding in August was 130.2lbs, and now after starting my reverse in mid-October, I am at 134.7lbs in late December. Full disclosure, I did not track all of August or September because of the wedding and honeymoon. That’s life though! Enjoy it! I started my macros in May at 140 grams of protein, 170 grams carbs, and 55 grams of fat. My macros before the wedding in August were 140 grams of protein, 115 grams of carbs, and 42 grams of fat. My current macros in December after about two months of reverse are 140 grams of protein, 210 grams of carbs, 60 grams of fat. And I have every intent of continuing to increase those macros as I continue my reverse!
